Attendance Policy: The New York State Department of Education requires that you attend all classes and vehicle driving labs. All students must attend 24 hours of classes and 24 hours of driving in-vehicle. The program includes a written exam and driving skills tests. Failure to meet these requirements will result in course failure and denial of your MV-285 [completion certificate] and insurance certificate. Neither work, vacation nor extracurricular activities are acceptable excuses for your missing a driver education lecture or lab. All missed classes or drives must be made up and a possible fee of $30 per missed classroom or vehicle drive ($60 if both are missed) payable to Hilton CSD Community Education and mailed to 225 West Ave., Hilton, NY 14468.  ALL MISSED CLASSES AND DRIVES ARE RESCHEDULED WITH YOUR INSTRUCTOR (not Hilton Community Education). A student with three absences risks being removed from the program. Driver Education requires commitment on the part of students and parents to fulfill the NYS DMV course requirements. No refunds will be given once the session begins. Enrollment is limited.

To confirm registration call Hilton Community Education at 392-1000, ext. 7044 or 7045 or email cfishbaugh@hilton.k12.ny.us.

The AAA of Western and Central NY is NYS DMV-certified and provides all instructors and vehicles. The program is NYS-approved and will run year around. NOTE: MV-285 certificates are mailed to each student's home.
