Hilton School District's Learning Support Services Office is here to help you navigate special education, student registration and other aspects of student services.

Learning Support Services is responsible for the evaluation, placement and service provision of and for students with disabilities as defined by the Part 200 of the Commissioner's Regulations and IDEA [Individuals with Disabilities Education Act] which mandates a free and appropriate education in the least restrictive environment. Community Partnership Services for Drug Prevention and Mental Health; English as a Second Language services; extended school day and extended school year programs; health-related services; occupational therapy; physical therapy; Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS); preschool evaluations; psychological services; school counselor services; social worker services; speech and language services; student registration; tutoring services; and Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) are governed and coordinated through the LSS Office. The Office develops Individualized Education Plans [IEP] for students identified with special education services. For further information, you may call the Learning Support Services office at 585-392-1000, ext. 6054.
